Quantum transport, quantum information, and measurement theory in mesoscopic devices
We are interested in the study of the out-of-equilibrium interplay between coherent transport and quantum measurement in mesoscopic devices. This work involves translation of fundamental ideas and protocols from measurement theory to realistic microscopic models for various applications such as quantum information processing and metrology. Similarly, it involves the study of signatures of many-body electronic phenomena such as signals of interfering exotic quaiparticles (anyons) and phase transitions.
